I've owned 2 of these now. Used these for travel with kids stuff and use it as a primary diaper bag. It's been fantastic. Has just the right pockets, love the wet compartment, it folds up super small for travel and packing. It's been great and I highly recommend. I hope it comes back in stock - I'd like a couple more colors!

This is a wonderful backpack! It's very well made, lightweight, dries quickly and can carry a heavy load. I've used it several times on mission trips in Honduras and it did not disappoint! Separate pocket for wet items. Inside pocket for passport, etc. Waterbottle pockets with straps. And padded, adjustable straps. Very pleased!

My first backpack. It is light weight and has great compartments. When done, it can be folded into its own small pouch. Well designed, great fit, great price, easy to use, very sturdy, can get lots of stuff in it, too.

Just got back from a 3 month trip exploring the Philippines. This was the best purchase I made for my trip. Very light and sturdy, could even get my 17 inch laptop inside. Highly recommended.

Lightly used the zip came out, can’t be closed, very disappointing

This backpack weighs less than 1 pound. I bought mine in 2021 and so far it has spent 4-1/2 months traveling Europe with me as a "personal item" in addition to my roll-on bag. It has also been around the USA few times always stowed under my airplane seat with never an issue. I carry it on one shoulder comfortably as packed it usually only weighs 10-12 pounds total. I travel with an iPad not a laptop so that is weight and space saving. The quality for the price is fantastic! The straps are barracked (double sewn) at stress points and that is important for durability. It does not have the rigidity of many backpacks but the weight and space savings is well worthwhile. I'm 80+ years old and I love this thing! I recently tried to compare new backpacks for compression features, and kept this one and bought plastic compression bags for insertion into this backpack, why pay more for more weight and no more space!

I've been using this backpack for almost a year on several trips and while there are many things I like about it, the lack of multiple smaller interior zippered pockets and interior key clip are really frustrating. And while it folds up into a square, I find that it is easier to just lay it flat in my suitcase, as it tends to take up less room that way and I don't have to deal with stuffing it into the pocket and then taking it back out of the pocket when I'm ready to use it. I like that it has a sternum strap, which is effective. I also like that the side pockets for the water bottles are relatively deep and have clasping straps at just the right spot to clasp toward the top of your water bottle.

If you don't need smaller interior storage pockets that you can zipper close, then this backpack will probably meet your needs. But I've come to realize that I need those pockets, so I'm off to find a new daypack.

No issues so far, travel and do light hiking often

Like the backpack overall, it’s actual the 2nd time I purchased it. Now in blue. However, I opened it and there is a granola bar in it which make me think it was used returned. Amazons quality used to be better.

I’ve been using this Venture Pal 40L as a lightweight hiking and everyday adventure pack, and it’s been a solid performer for the price. It’s very light, packs down easily, and has more usable space than you’d expect. I’ve comfortably carried extra layers, water, snacks, and essentials without it feeling bulky.The shoulder straps are comfortable for short to medium hikes, casual walks, travel days, and general use. Zippers and stitching have held up well so far, and it’s great to keep in a car or suitcase as a “just in case” pack.That said, there is one important thing to know: it does not have a waist belt. Because of that, weight can shift to one side if you’re carrying heavier items (like a full water bottle). For longer hikes or heavier loads, you’ll notice this. For lighter, casual use, it’s totally fine.Overall, this is an excellent value pack for day hikes, travel, and everyday adventures. If you need a super lightweight, packable bag and don’t require a hip belt, this is a great choice.

I have two of these and I affectionately refer to them as my adventure bags - they've been durable, at least for the last 3 years. They're great for a cruise, especially with the dedicated wet compartment! They pack down small - even smaller if you leave them unfolded and just jam them into your other luggage. My upcoming cruise I'm going to try to use this as my personal item. Technically, it's a little big, but if it's not completely full I think it'll fit under the seat.

I keep this with my travel gear as a just in case item. I’ve used it several times with no issues. The first time I used the wet compartment the whole thing tore out and fell into the regular compartment and got everything wet.

This is my favorite travel backpack, I have used this over the last five years in many situations including hiking, day/week trips at Disney, beach trips, overseas, sightseeing, etc. This backpack has been great, is lightweight, holds up nicely to the abuse I put it through, and stores a surprisingly large amount of items. Even after five years, it still perfectly usable without any rips or tears. I’m definitely buying another once this one wears out!

Love this backpack but the zipper broke and opened up about a month ago. I thought maybe I don’t zip it right or bought it wrong. It had increasing popped open. I carry my lunch and a water bottle and today the water bottle must have been too much and everything fell through the zipper. Great backpack except for this. Too late to return.

Strong backpack. Hold quite a bit of items, used as a carry on for a flight and was able to get a few days of clothes and few toiletries. Folds up to save space if you don't need to use it. Comfortable to wear. Washes up great, but watch drying too hot because of the plastic water proof liner. Might want to line dry.

A foldable lightweight backpack has no business being THIS well made THIS cheaply. I bought a second one I am so impressed. I travel a lot and love this because I can throw it easily into luggage and it becomes my bag for shopping, the gym, groceries and a spare bag if I buy too much. Let me tell you I have abused this bag. I have checked it, given it to luggage delivery companies, thrown it around on buses, boats and trains, I have stuffed it with way more mass and weight than is reasonable. I have done this brutal work on it for ober a year and even the top handle which is just a nylon strap which break almost instantly on any other bag shows ZERO sign of wear or abuse. No seams seem in danger of giving up despite totally unreasonable demands on it. I love the dry / wet separation and this thing always seems to be able to pass the “personal item” gauntlet airline companies do these days.

Bought this bag 4 years ago and still my main travel backpack. Still in great condition

I’d bought one of these a few years ago for a trip since I needed a light bag that could be folded up, could hold enough for a day trip, and had a waterproof pouch. It worked great and still does. Naturally, when I had a family member that needed something similar, I got them one as well and they loved it.

This is a great travel backpack. It's great to have all the straps & compartments - especially with kids always having to bring along their knicknacks.

I've started to even bring it grocery shopping as it makes some of the heavier objects a lot easier to manage.

I have no concerns about the backpack lasting a long time. It feels very well made.

For parents, you can use the wet bag for dirty diapers in a pinch!
